Yemisi Mokuolu, Hatch Ideas Founder
My journey began in 2002, when I wanted to start an events business to bring people together through culture and events with a real focus on raising the profile and engagement in African art. However, I found a huge lack of support for businesses focused exploring creativity and bringing about cultural change. I was so determined to carve my own path, that I developed systems that allowed me to grow my business while creating real social impact.

Alongside producing my events, I began to informally support fellow artists and creatives, I recognised a significant gap: many passionate innovators struggled to sustain their practice due to a lack of tailored business support. This led to me adding business development to the remit of Hatch, which now supports innovative, purpose-driven businesses globally, including clients in the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazil, and more.
In order to provide better business support for Creatives, I have worked with and advised the European Commission, the Nigerian, UK, French and German Governements and put in place Creative business development programmes on their behalf.
I remain a creative myself, producing festivals and events that celebrate culture and community. My latest projects include AsaBaako – One Dance festival in Ghana and “I Sing My Song To the Sea” outdoor arts installation mural in Brighton.

I am honoured to have received recognition for more work, including being named London’s “Most Instrumental Business Development & Training Businesswoman 2024” and one of the top 100 African business leaders in the UK in 2022.
Through Hatch Ideas, I am proud to offer an agency dedicated to helping you realise your dreams and create meaningful change. My ambition is to empower clients with the confidence and clarity needed to pursue their unique visions and make impactful changes.
